Woman Killed At Snellville Business Identified, Was Employee: Police

Detectives believe the suspect may have been known to the victim or the business where she worked, according to police.

SNELLVILLE, GA — A woman who was shot to death at a Snellville business has been identified as an employee of the establishment, according to police.

Courtney Owens, 34, of Snellville, was fatally shot mid-day Friday at a business on Centerville Highway in Gwinnett County’s Southside Precinct, police said Saturday. Witnesses saw a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun leave the crime scene on foot, and detectives believe the suspect may have been known to the victim or the business where she worked, according to police.
