The Gwinnett County Commission approved three contracts with two Gwinnett Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) on Tuesday, December 14th. As part of the agreement, the Gwinnett Village CID will study designs to increase capacity, improve safety, and relieve congestion at the intersection of Jimmy Carter Blvd and Buford Hwy. Resurfacing of Indian Trail Rd is also part of the agreement with the CID.
The other contract was with the Gwinnett Place CID to add sidewalks onΒ Steve Reynolds Boulevard, Old Norcross Road, Venture Driveο»Ώ,Β Pineland Roadο»Ώ,Β Sweetwater Road and Koger Boulevardο»Ώ. The county also awarded a construction contract to ER Snell Contracting, Inc. for an innovative pilot program to add sidewalks around Sugarloaf Pkwy and Satellite Blvd.Β
The projects will be funded with money from SPLOST and a grant from the Georgia DOT.ο»Ώ
