Gwinnett County's Insurance Pays for Storm Damage

Gwinnett Country officials are certainly not regretting their decision to insure their infrastructure against natural disaster this December. Commissioners received more than $2 million to help cover repairs needed after the flood of September 2009. More than 300 stormwater pipes were damaged in the storm, among other damages inflicted to public property by water and lightning. FEMA adjusters were impressed that the county had purchased insurance for it's water, sewer, and stormwater piping.ο»Ώ
