The Georgia Association of Water Professionals has recognized the Gwinnett Department of Water Resources as having the finest large water distribution system in the state. The award is given to only three systems statewide; one each in the small, medium, and large classifications. The applications are judged by three volunteers from peer utilities. Gwinnett received a stellar score of 334 out of 336 points, one of the highest ratings ever given. Water Resources received the award at the fall conference in Dalton on November 9.
