Municipal Court Wins Honors

The City of Suwanee Municipal Court's implementation of an paperless system -- believed to be the first in the state -- this past year has garnered the court two statewide awards, according to the city website.

The Georgia Council of Court Administrators (GCCA) has named the Suwanee Court as Program of the Year, and Court Services Administrator Mariza Abdeljawad was named Clerk of the Year by the Georgia Municipal Court Clerk's Council (GMCCC).

"Thanks in large measure to [Mariza's] efforts, Suwanee is employing cutting-edge technologies to improve the overall court experience and save the City money,"ο»Ώ Administrative Services Director Elvira Rogersο»Ώ said.
