Collins Hill, Peachtree Ridge Girls Win in Tennis

Girls tennis:   dominated North Oconee 5-0 last Wednesday. Abbie Wehr, Jillian Estes and Erin Ensley all won singles matches for the Lady Eagles while Megan Gorham/Lina Tibavinsky won a doubles point as did Cassie and Maddie Owensby. The girls made it six straight wins with a 5-0 decision over Meadowcreek last Thursday. Rachel Anderson, Jessica Northcutt and Laura Greenwood also won singles matches for the Lady Lions. ... The girls tennis team continued its Region 7-5A dominance with a 3-2 victory over last Wednesday. North Gwinnett’s points were earned by Taylor Clark in singles and Chelsea Koch/Isabel Balsavage in doubles.

Boys tennis:  North Gwinnett tallied a 4-1 victory over Norcross behind Taylor Buchholz and R.J. Clement in singles. Forrest Huffman/Josh Winey won in doubles as did Mark Hardy/Ryan Duncan for the Bulldogs. ... After a 5-0 victory for Collins Hill over last Wednesday, the Eagles returned to region play with a 4-1 victory over . Chris Clark and Tyler Kallgren each picked up singles victories for Collins Hill, which improved to 11-2.
