Duluth Fires City Manager; No Explanation Given

Tim Shearer had been placed on administrative leave during the week.

Two days after placing City Manager Tim Shearer on administrative leave, the Duluth mayor and City Council voted to terminate his contract, effective immediately.

No reason was given.

Shearer had been on the job for about two years. Mayor Nancy Harris said a "national search" would be undertaken to find Shearer's replacement.
