How Do Suwanee Teams Stand in Playoff Race?

Several key Region 7-AAAAAA matchups remain.

With the 2013 high school football season in the waning weeks, Suwanee teams are well positioned to make the postseason playoffs.

The latest statewide Class 6A rankings by Georgia High School Football Daily and ajc.com show three Suwanee teams -- North Gwinnett, Collins Hill and Peachtree Ridge -- in the Top 10. The unbeaten Bulldogs (6-0) remain in the top spot.

And that means all three have a good chance to represent Region 7-AAAAAA in the postseason. Four teams from each region will qualify. Currently, the Suwanee teams and Norcross hold the top four spots.

So, let's see some key games left for the regular season:

  • Collins Hill at North Gwinnett, Oct. 25;
  • Peachtree Ridge at North Gwinnett, Nov. 8;
  • Collins Hill at Mill Creek, Nov. 8.
The updated schedules for all Suwanee teams are here.
