Lanier High Gets New Assistant Principal

The new hire is leaving a position as athletic director at a Barrow County school.

A leading Barrow County educator recently announced that he will be leaving for a position at Lanier High School in Sugar Hill.

Justin Grant is departing Winder-Barrow High School, where he has been the assistant principal and the athletic director, according to Barrow County News.  He will soon join Lanier High as an assistant principal.

"I’m took the job at Lanier because I wanted to be a better dad to my two kids and work the same schedule as my wife," Grant told Barrow County News.

Grant will be joining his wife, Stephanie, as an educator within Gwinnett County Public Schools. She is a language arts teacher at Dacula High, where she also is the head cheerleading coach.
