Olde Towne Restaurant Closes Suwanee Location

Doors were locked Thursday. A notice posted on the door says bankruptcy proceedings have begun.

which occupied a prominent location in Suwanee Town Center, closed its doors Thursday afternoon (December 20).

A notice posted on the front door said that proceedings have begun in federal bankruptcy court. Hays Financial Consulting is the trustee, according to the notice.

The restaurant is located in the same development as City Hall and other businesses, such as Executive Barbers and Pooch & Paws. The menu was typical for a casual dining restaurant, featuring a wide variety of items. Also, the bar area had a retractable window that allowed for open-air viewing of Town Center Park.

This leaves Ippolito's, Mellow Mushroom and Brown Bag Deli as the chief eateries in Town Center.

People connected with the Suwanee location could not be reached for comment Thursday. The chain also operates in Lawrenceville, Buckhead and Kennesaw.

Also, the website reads: "To all our Suwanee customers, The Suwanee location is independently operated and is not associated in any way with the parent company doing business as Olde Towne Tavern & Grille. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the store directly"

No recording or prompts were available via the Olde Towne Suwanee phone number. Several would-be patrons who went by the restaurant Thursday evening were surprised by the closure.
