Suwanee Crime: Arrest at Motel; Man Charged With Deposit Account Fraud

Checking on some recent action by area law enforcement.

The following people were arrested in Suwanee recently:

  • Jill Baty Wilson and Dennis Ray Walterman were arrested on July 8 on outstanding warrants out of Hall County and Barrow County, respectively. Both warrants were for probation violation. Their car was spotted on a field behind a motel on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. When questioned, Wilson said she and Walterman lived at the motel and were walking their dog. A police check revealed the outstanding warrants. The couple was taken into custody. Wilson allowed a neighbor at the motel to take control of her son, who is 15.


  • Timothy M. Carter of a Tropicana Drive address was arrested on July 10 on charges of deposit account fraud, a misdemeanor. According to a Gwinnett Sheriff's warrant, Carter wrote checks to the Costco on Venture Drive in Duluth that were on a closed account.
