Suwanee Farmers Market Vendor Has Healthy Approach to Business
Great Harvest Bread Co. features items with a nutritional emphasis.

Erika Boland is a registered dietitian, so you'd figure that her bread and sandwich business would have a healthy touch.
Boland operates Great Harvest Bread Co. in Johns Creek, and the business also has a vendor booth at the Suwanee Farmers Market.
In Suwanee, people can sample and buy her wares, which she grinds and bakes at the store. She uses spelt (also called hulled wheat), a type of grain that dates to medieval times and is increasingly popular.
There are 16 listed varieties of breads available -- there is even a "bread schedule" on the website. Varieties include:
- Living Has No Nuts (for carb counters);
- High Country Crunch (which contains flax seeds, poppy seeds and oats);
- Fruity Tootie (white chocolate filling stuffed with several berries).
"I think a lot of the problems we're having are from things we've been eating," Boland noted.
