Photos: Car Fire on Ponce

Shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday, a car burst into flames at the intersection of Ponce de Leon and Freedom Parkway, according to eye witnesses. The driver, who said his power-steering fluid leaked into the engine and started smoking in a way that felt dangerous, got himself and his passengers out of the car, fast. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze, but a thick white smoke filled the intersection, making the temporary traffic jam even worse. Luckily, no one was hurt -- except for the car.
