Gas Main Break Closes Portion of N. Highland Avenue
N. Highland Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue was closed off due to a gas main break
UPDATE: The gas leak was capped around 1:30 p.m. Thursday and most businesses reopened around 2 p.m.
N. Highland Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue was closed off around 10:20 Thursday morning due to a gas main break.
A gas line was hit by public works employees working on road construction on the scene.

Stores along N. Highland Avenue were evacuated and the gas company had two crews on the scene working to stop the leak.
