Police Sgt. Curtis Davenport said a "high power rifle" was fired "multiple times" into the back of the house. No one was injured in the shooting, he said.

Original reports suggested explosives were thrown at the house, but Davenport said no explosives were found. However, Davenport said investigators found a bb gun in the back of the house, but still believe another weapon was used.

Police originally reported that a "feud" between the homeowner's son, Nicholas Garey, and a friend sparked the gunfire.

However, Nicholas Garey called that claim "ridiculous."

"What is a Facebook feud?" Garey said.

The homeowner, Mr. Garey, told reporters he "heard some loud bangs out back" this afternoon and thought it might have been a tree hitting the ground. He said when he realized what was going on, he "grabbed the dog and hit the floor."

Police are looking for a man in camouflage that they believe is responsible for the incident.
