Sugarcoat To Open Second Atlanta Location in Virginia-Highland

Nail and beauty salon will move into storefront on St. Charles Avenue

Owners of Sugarcoat, a "nail and beauty bar" in Buckhead, announced plans to open a second location in Virginia-Highland on Monday morning.

The nail and beauty salon will open at 1062 St. Charles Ave., in the South Virginia-Highland area near and .

The new location on St. Charles Avenue was designed by Atlanta designer Lee Bryan, who has decorated hotels, spas, luxury homes and offices around the world.

"The main goal for the design of Sugarcoat was to provide clients with a comfortable, well appointed and beautiful place to come and be pampered,” Bryan said in a news release. “We wanted to make sure from the moment they walked in they could see a salon that had their comfort and relaxation in mind even if only for the short time they were going to be in the salon."

The 1600 square-foot location includes a front room for manicures, pedicures and a back room used for private parties. The location also offers waxing, massages and luxury facials.

The owners of Sugarcoat are dedicated to keeping a sanitary atmosphere, and every client at Sugarcoat receives a "personalized pouch of non-metal tools" with the idea that clients return with these tools for their next appointment. The kit is free and includes nail files, buffers and toe separators, among other things. 

Sugarcoat owner Peiru Kim said in a news release that she is "thrilled to be in the heart of one of Atlanta’s favorite neighborhoods" and looks forward to meeting her new neighbors.
