  1. The Idaho Falls Regional Bomb squad detonated a pipe bomb found by a local at a construction site. The device was spotted in an empty construction site between S. 9th East and E. 49th South. When the department got there, they made sure no one could get into the area as the bomb squad determined the best way to safely dispose of the device. After examining the bomb, they determined that it was a homemade device β€” and that due to the location and hazards associated with moving it, it would be safer to detonate it at the site in a controlled manner. The origin of the device is still unknown as of Monday, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Idaho Falls Police Department. (Idaho State Journal)
  2. Two-Day Fuel & Flo Fest will be coming to Idaho Falls this Friday and Saturday. The event will give locals to connect with their bodies through focused yoga and wellness within their community. There will be a variety of classes offered at all different levels. Friday will be the opening social and fire show to kick off the festival. (LocalNews8.com)
  3. The Idaho Falls Zoo offered moms 50-cent admission over the weekend, allowing many families to enjoy a fun day together. Regular zoo visitors and first-time visitors alike enjoyed being able to take their families out on a nice weekend to enjoy all the animals. Some moms got to bring their babies for the first time. Other family members who traveled to spend the Mother's Day weekend with family got to see their kids and take their grandkids to the zoo. Many visitors told the news reporter that this may become their new Mother's Day tradition. (LocalNews 8)
