2 Men Shot At Apartment Complex Near Arlington Heights
Cook County Sheriff's police are investigating the shooting Monday afternoon in unincorporated Palatine Township.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Cook County Sheriff's police are investigating a shooting Monday in which two men were shot at an unincorporated Palatine Township apartment complex near Arlington Heights, the Daily Herald reports. One of the men was seriously wounded from the incident, and the other men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the report added.
The shooting happened at around 12:40 p.m. Monday, June 12, in the 400 block of Bonhill Drive, the report stated. Police were keeping complex residents from entering their apartments, and the area was lined with crime scene tape, the Arlington Heights Post reports. Around 12 sheriff's police units were on the scene, including a K9 unit, and a cherry picker was elevated to a second-floor apartment balcony, according to reports.

Although Arlington Heights police responded to the shooting call to assist, Cook County Sheriff's police are handling the incident because it's located in an unincorporated township in the county, the Post reports.
