Arlington Heights Police Station To Open Saturday
Arlington Heights police have a new $28 million station which officially opens at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department is getting a new home Saturday. Police are officially beginning police operations out of the new station at 6:30 a.m.
The downtown station, at 200 E. Sigwalt St., is a two-level building of 70,500 square feet, according to the Daily Herald. The total price tag was $27.9 million.
They had been operating out of a temporary station, but now police are "very happy to be back 'home,'" they said in a Facebook post.

According to the Herald, police saw their previous 38-year-old was outdated, cramped and unable to meet their needs as a police department.
