Schaumburg Dentist Accused Of Taking Secret Men's Room Photos Sued By Teen Victim
The family of the 16-year-old boy is seeking more than $50,000 from the Chicago man stemming from an incident earlier this summer.

CHICAGO, IL — A Schaumburg dentist accused of masturbating in a men's room stall at a North Side beach while he used a cellphone to record a teenage boy undressing earlier this summer is being sued by the 16-year-old victim's family, the Chicago Tribune reports. The lawsuit was filed Monday, and it claims Gregory Stump, 68, invaded the teen's privacy. Stump, of the 1400 block of North Dearborn Street in the Gold Coast neighborhood, was ordered released on electronic monitoring in July after he was charged with possession of child pornography and unauthorized video recording of a minor.
According to Cook County prosecutors, the incident happened July 21 in the restroom at North Avenue Beach. Chicago police allegedly found Stump naked in a stall, holding a cellphone over the partition in order to record the victim changing out of a swimsuit. The dentist allegedly was masturbating as he recorded the victim.
When police searched Stump's phone, officers allegedly discovered more images of boys and men. Some of them depicted the victims using urinals, and there were images of a boy naked from the waist down, pulling up his pants. According to the lawsuit by the 16-year-old's family, the victim is seeking more than $50,000 in damages because of anguish and suffering from the incident, the Tribune reports. The dental license for Stump, whose practice is in Schaumburg, remains unaffected by the arrest, and he is allowed to see underage patients as long as the children's parents are present.
