$1M Bail For Aurora Man Accused Of Murder After Fatal Shooting
A 20-year-old Aurora man was arrested on murder charges Saturday morning after a nearly three-hour standoff with officers, police said.

AURORA, IL — A 20-year-old Aurora man is facing two counts of first-degree murder after police alleged he was involved in a fatal shooting Friday evening.
Ivan Valles, of the 500 block of Seventh Avenue, was arrested early Saturday morning after a nearly three-hour standoff, police said.
Kane County prosecutors allege Valles drove his car Friday evening to the 300 block of South Spencer Street before someone got out and shot 32-year-old Fernando Carapia near his home.

The shooter ran back to Valles' car, which sped away from the area, according to prosecutors, who said police are searching for more suspects connected to the shooting.

Police said they received reports of gunshots around 4:45 p.m. Friday in the area of Carapia's home and found him suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead by Aurora paramedics.
Around 1 a.m. Saturday, officers from the Aurora Police Department’s Special Response Team tried to search a home in the 700 block of South Spencer Street but people inside the home refused to exit, police said.
Aurora Moves Back To Tier 2 Coronavirus Restrictions
Five men, one woman and three children left the home over the next two hours before the Special Response Team arrested two people who remained inside, police said.
Valles is being held in Kane County jail on $1 million bail, according to court records. He is due to appear in court Friday.
