Aurora To Get $7.7M In Coronavirus Relief From Kane County
Kane County officials recently finalized their plans to split $27.7 million in federal funds among more than two dozen municipalities.
AURORA, IL — Kane County municipalities are set to receive tens of millions of dollars in coronavirus relief, but that funding falls well short of what most local governments said they would need to offset pandemic-related costs.
Two dozen municipalities requested a total of $80.7 million, but they will receive just over a third of that, documents show. Those 24 communities, plus three that did not apply for any relief funding, will split $27.7 million, with allocations based on population.
