Aurora Opens Warming Center With Single-Digit Temperatures Coming
Residents can find refuge from the bitter cold at the Aurora Transportation Center from 6 p.m. Friday through Saturday morning.

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Transportation Center will be open Friday night for residents who need a place to get out of the bitter cold.
The facility will serve as a “warming center” overnight, with temperatures expected to drop into single digits, city officials said. The warming center is set to open at 6 p.m. Friday.

Anyone who seeks refuge from the cold at the warming center must take a COVID-19 health screening and temperature checks, officials said. All guests must wear masks and practice social distancing while inside the warming center.
