Car Crashes Into ComEd Electrical Box, Causing Eola Road Shutdown: APD
The driver was evaluated by Aurora Fire Department paramedics but refused further medical attention, Aurora police said.
AURORA, IL — A car crashed into a ComEd electrical box Sunday afternoon, causing a temporary road closure, police said.
The single-car crash happened at 5:54 p.m. at the intersection of Eola Road and Stadium Street. The driver exited the car by the time first responders arrived and was evaluated by Aurora Fire Department paramedics but refused further medical attention, Public Safety Media Manager Jim Levicki told Patch.
The roadway was shut down for about 30 minutes while ComEd arrived, assessed the damage and shut off power to the box.
