Aurora student graduates from University Honors Program at Nebraska
Madi Pfeiffer of Aurora is among 197 University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating seniors who have completed the requirements to graduate from the University Honors Program in May. Pfeiffer will graduate from the College of Arts and Sciences.

To graduate from the Honors Program, students must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average, complete a culminating senior project or research thesis, and fulfill other curricular requirements.
"The majority of these graduates were among the first cohort to enter college during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Patrice McMahon, director of the Honors Program. "Their completion of the Honors curriculum demonstrates impressive resilience and commitment to academic excellence, and we are proud of all they have accomplished."

Local student named to SNHU Dean's List
Faith Ogunjimi of Aurora (60505) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Winter 2024 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Rockford University Spring 2024 Distinguished Scholars
The following full-time (12 or more credits) students attending Rockford University were named Distinguished Scholars for the Spring 2024 semester, earning at least a 3.75 with no grades below "C" and having completed all requirements for the semester.

UW-Whitewater announces spring 2024 Dean's List
The following students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2024 spring semester.

These students have demonstrated their academic abilities by receiving a grade point average of 3.4 or above in a single semester.

Student from Aurora graduates from McKendree University
Mark Crosson of Aurora, Ill., has graduated from McKendree University with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Secondary Education.
The university is conferring 595 degrees in 2024 — 20 doctoral, 181 master's, 376 bachelor's, nine specialist and eight associate degrees — on students who completed their program requirements in December 2023, and are projected to complete their program requirements in May and July 2024. A total of 108 students graduated with Latin honors (pending final grades for the spring and summer terms): 33 summa cum laude, 46 magna cum laude and 29 cum laude. The McKendree University Class of 2024 hails from 30 states and 19 countries and territories.

Millikin celebrates new graduates at the 2024 Spring Commencement
Millikin University honored more than 270 graduates from the Class of 2024 with two Commencement ceremonies in the Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Students from the College of Arts & Sciences and the Tabor School of Business took the stage and received undergraduate and graduate degrees in front of friends and family in the morning ceremony. The College of Professional Studies and the College of Fine Arts did the same in the afternoon.

UT student of Aurora earns dean's list honors
Emily Paul, of Aurora, earned dean's list honors at The University of Tampa for the Spring 2024 semester. Paul was a Senior majoring in Allied Health BS.
Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

Local student named to Spring 2024 Dean's List at Wisconsin Lutheran College
Grayson Goetz, of Aurora, a senior at Wisconsin Lutheran College, has been named to the college's Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. Grayson is a graduate of Oswego East High School.
To be eligible for Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or higher.
