Coronavirus Case Closes Aurora Driver Services Facility
The facility will be shut down for the next two weeks with all employees quarantining after one tested positive.

AURORA, IL — Illinois' driver services facility in Aurora is set to be closed until Nov. 4 after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.
Employees who work at the facility at 339 E. Indian Trail will quarantine for 14 days and the facility will be disinfected and sanitized before reopening, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White said Wednesday in a news release.

White has extended expiration dates until February 2021 for driver’s licenses and state ID cards to limit the need for in-person transactions amid the coronavirus pandemic. Illinois residents can renew license plates, replace their licenses and IDs, and complete other transactions through cyberdriveillinois.com.

Those who need assistance at a driver services facility can visit the state’s offices at 931 W. 75th St., Suite 161, in Naperville; at 595 S. State St. in Elgin; or at 837 S. Westmore Ave., B27, in Lombard.
