Coronavirus Cases In Kane Co. Growing Fastest Among 20-Somethings
Nearly 240 residents in their 20s tested positive in July, 40 percent more than any other age group, public health data shows.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The average number of new coronavirus cases in Kane County each day has remained relatively steady over the past six weeks, but public health data shows cases are on the rise among residents between the ages of 10 and 40.
Cases are growing fastest among residents in the 20-29 age group, which has seen its 7-day rolling average of new cases nearly triple since July 9, according to statistics from the Illinois Department of Public Health. A 7-day rolling average is a measure that takes into account daily fluctuations in testing to show longer-term trends in coronavirus data.
