Flu Shot Clinic To Open Wednesday In North Aurora

Public health officials are urging residents to get flu shots this year, saying it's more important than ever amid the coronavirus pandemic.

NORTH AURORA, IL — With flu season kicking in amid the coronavirus pandemic, public health officials are urging residents that getting a flu shot this year is more important than ever.

The North Aurora Lions Club is partnering with VNA Health Care to offer flu shots from 2-5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the former North Aurora Activity Center, located at 1 N. Lincolnway St.

The clinic will be accepting all forms of health insurance, and there will be no co-pay or deductible. Flu shots are free to anyone without insurance. Residents do not have to make appointments.

Flu shots are also available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the following VNA drive-thru locations:

  • VNA Aurora — 400 N. Highland Ave.
  • VNA Elgin — 801 Villa St.
  • VNA Romeoville — 160 N. Independence Boulevard (Route 53)
