HelloFresh, Aurora To Give Away 4,000 Free Meal Kits To Residents
HelloFresh is giving away meal kits as part of an initiative to raise awareness of childhood food insecurity.

AURORA, IL — The City of Aurora partnered with HelloFresh to provide residents with 4,000 free meal kits Thursday afternoon.
The giveaway is taking place at two parks in Aurora. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. at McCarty Park, 350 E. Galena Blvd., and at 2:30 p.m. at Blackhawk Park, at the corner of Galena Boulevard and Blackhawk Street.
The initiative — giving away 1,000 meal bags, with four meal kits per bag — is part of the German-based meal-kit company's effort to raise awareness of childhood food insecurity and its effect on 13 million kids nationwide.

As part of its 13 for 13 Million campaign, HelloFresh chose Aurora as one of the 13 communities across the country where it'll host giveaway events. The first distribution in Aurora took place in June.
