Hope D. Wall Playground Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The new playground was funded by Fox Valley Park District, East Aurora School District 131, West Aurora School District 129 and the City.

On October 28, EASD 131 Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Norrell participated in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a beautiful new playground at Hope D. Wall School. Dr. Norrell was joined by Dr. Jeff Craig, Superintendent of West Aurora School District 129, Dr. Terry Collette, Principal of Hope D. Wall School, Robert Gonzalez, West Aurora School Board President, Jim Pilmer, Executive Director of the Fox Valley Park District, and City of Aurora Mayor Richard C. Irvin.

The new playground was celebrated as a much-needed addition for the Rockets at Hope Wall and the Aurora area. It can be used by children of all ages, skill levels and learning abilities, and is fully wheelchair accessible, including double-wide ramps and wheelchair swings. Hope D. Wall School, 449 W. Indian Trail, Aurora, is a child development center operated by West Aurora School District, and serves about 170 children with special needs in both the West and East Aurora school districts.
