'Item' Found At Aurora Christian School Is Non-Hazardous, Police Say
An "item" found in the parking lot at Aurora Christian School Monday morning was determined to be non-hazardous, police said.

AURORA, IL — A suspicious item found Monday morning at Aurora Christian School was determined to be non-hazardous, police said.
In a Facebook post published at 8:20 a.m., Aurora police said they were on-site at the school, 2255 Sullivan Road, as a precautionary measure "related to an item found on the property."
In an update two hours later, police said they examined the item in the parking lot and determined it to be non-hazardous. Normal traffic then resumed in the area.

Officials originally asked the community to avoid the west side of the campus while officers completed their assessment. Parents picking up their children were directed to use the Sullivan Road entrance on the east side of the building, according to the first post.
