Kane, DuPage Sheriffs Arrest Aurora Man On Child Porn Charges
The two agencies worked together on an investigation that led to 10 child pornography charges against a 57-year-old Aurora man.
AURORA, IL — An Aurora man is facing a slew of felony charges after detectives from the sheriff’s departments in Kane and DuPage counties conducted a weekslong child-pornography investigation that led to his arrest.
Carl Witt, 57, was arrested this week at his home in the 400 block of Weston Avenue, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Police found “multiple pieces of digital media” that included depictions of child pornography, the release states.
Witt was charged Thursday with 10 felony counts of possessing child pornography, according to Kane County court records.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office investigated Witt with help from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Digital Forensic Unit as part of an ongoing collaboration between the two agencies, the release states.
