Motorcyclist Killed Friday Night In Crash With SUV: Police
A 31-year-old man died after crashing into a Jeep Cherokee when it turned into his path, Aurora police said.
AURORA, IL — A 31-year-old man was killed Friday night in Aurora after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV when it turned into his path, police said.
The crash, which occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection in front of the Northgate Shopping Center, also sent three people inside the SUV to local hospitals for treatment, according to a news release. Two people have been released and the other is in stable condition, police told Patch on Monday.

Aurora police identified the motorcyclist as Jeffrey A. Dillard. He died at the scene of the crash, police said. Dillard was riding south on Lake Street when a Jeep Cherokee turned into his path, police said.

A “large crowd” gathered around the crash immediately after it occurred in the 800 block of North Lake Street, according to police. After police cleared the crowd, Aurora Fire Department paramedics worked to save Dillard and remove three people from inside the Jeep Cherokee, the release states. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to roll onto its roof, police said.
