Police ID Bicyclist Killed In Aurora Hit-And-Run

A 27-year-old Aurora man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash on the city's Far East Side, police said.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run-crash on the city’s Far East Side, according to police.

Police on Monday identified the man as Dragomir Misic, 27, of the 2300 block of Avalon Court. Misic was riding his bike around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Montgomery Road and White Eagle Drive, police said.

Paramedics tried to save Misic’s life, but he was declared dead at the site of the crash, according to police.

Aurora police did not provide any description of the vehicle that struck Misic but are asking anyone with information to call its Traffic Division at 630-256-5330 or Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.
