Aurora police conducted a welfare check Monday at an apartment on the city's East Side and found two people dead.
AURORA, IL — Aurora police on Wednesday released the identities of two people who they say died in an apparent murder-suicide earlier this week.
Police believe Christian Coronel, 24, shot and killed Leesley Sandoval, 23, before killing himself at their apartment in the 1600 block of McClure Road, the Daily Herald reports.
Aurora police did a welfare check at the apartment around 4:30 p.m. Monday after a relative said they were unable to reach anyone there throughout the day. A landlord let officers into the apartment where they found Sandoval and Coronel dead from apparent gunshot wounds, police said Monday night.
