Snowstorm Blankets Kane County: Show Us Your Photos
As much as 5 inches of snow fell in parts of Kane County. Show us how much you got!

KANE COUNTY, IL — Much of Kane County saw its first significant snowstorm of the season Tuesday, with up to 5 inches accumulating in some areas.
That means many Kane County residents broke out their shovels, sleds and snowshoes for the first time this winter, while others hooked up their plows and shook the rust off their snowblowers.

Kane County Snow Totals (According to the National Weather Service)
- Geneva: 4.7 inches
- Boulder Hill (Montgomery area): 3.8 inches
- Batavia: 3.6 inches
- North Aurora: 3.5 inches
- Aurora: 3 inches
Most of the mix of freezing rain and drizzle was expected to leave the area by noon Wednesday, though police are urging drivers to continue to take extra caution and give themselves extra time to travel.
