Teens Shot, Robbed Man During Drug Deal In Aurora: Police
Two teens were arrested last week in Wisconsin on attempted murder and armed robbery charges, according to police.
AURORA, IL — Two teens are facing multiple felony charges after Aurora police alleged they shot a man during a drug deal Oct. 3 on the city’s Southeast Side.
Richard M. Gatson, 18, of Melrose Park, and Dontae W. Parker, 19, of Chicago, were arrested last week in Appleton, Wisconsin, after an “extensive” investigation into the shooting, which left a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said in a news release.

The shooting occurred around 5:45 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 1400 block of Farington Lane, Aurora police said. Police allege Gatson and Parker drove to Aurora’s Southeast Side that day to sell drugs to the man, but then robbed and shot him.

Gatson and Parker each face charges of attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm, according to police. Both were extradited to Illinois and are being held at the DuPage County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
