Traffic Signals Malfunctioning 2 Route 59 Intersections: Aurora PD

AURORA, IL — The traffic signals at the Route 59 intersections with 75th Street and Audrey Avenue in Aurora are malfunctioning Wednesday morning, according to police.

The lights are expected to be out of service until around 1 p.m. Wednesday. Until then, traffic is heavy in the area, police said.

"Remember, when traffic signals are not functioning, treat the intersection as a stop sign," officials said in an alert published on Facebook just before 10 a.m.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.
