Virtual 'Night In’ To Replace National Night Out In Aurora
The city of Aurora is hosting a virtual celebration Tuesday after this year's National Night Out was postponed due to the coronavirus.
AURORA, IL — Aurora’s annual National Night Out event to bring together residents and police will look very different this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The city is set to host a virtual “Aurora Night In” celebration Tuesday to bring together more than two dozen neighborhood groups and public safety leaders, according to a news release.

The theme of the virtual event, which will start at 6 p.m., will be “Aurora: Still Strong. Still Safe. Still Togther.”
Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, Police Chief Kristen Ziman and Fire Chief Gary Krienitz are set to speak during the event, while neighborhood groups will share poems, songs and other works, the release states.

Aurora’s virtual Night In celebration will be broadcast live on the city’s Facebook page and website.
