I am not a fan of big city policing and I respect and support our Kildeer police officers. If you feel the same way, here is how we can help the officers and help Deer Park. Â We need to make people aware, get organized and take action. Â Contrary to belief, the deal is NOT done yet to have Lake County Sheriff's men patrol our neighborhood. Â Not if we can help it. Â Here's a simple but effective solution:
If everyone chips in to print some of these flyers on their own, distribute and help make these visible, it will help all of us greatly. Â (If anyone knows a printer willing to do this for us for free, even better!). If you can, please print on neon green paper so we have uniformity in our information distribution. Â Kinkos, Staples and OfficeMax should all have the neon green paper to print on.
*** Due/Do date: Tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 7
Here is where we need to distribute person to person, as well as ask for permission to leave a small stack with :
• Grocery stores
• Gas stations
• Cafe, coffee houses
• Libraries
• Barrington train station (early am and pm Monday)
• Palatine train station (early am and pm Monday)
• Schools
• PTA
• Local businesses
• Banks
• Restaurants
• Gym
• Your organizations, clubs, groups, etc.
• Car to car in the stalled, horrible, rush hour traffic early tomorrow morning on Rand Rd. Corridor. Make traffic work for us for once!  : )
If you can get your spouse, family members, friends to all pitch in a little bit, we will be able to reach more people and make them aware.
This general flyer will be the map to the www.DeerParkNeighbors.com site (rich source of facts and info) as well as up to the minute news and info from our Twitter account @KeepKildeerCops.
Timing is critical. Â We have one chance. Â This is it.
Many thanks for your attention and help. Â It really does take the citizens to *act together* to create the village we enjoy living in.
