Bail Amounts Increase Significantly
Motorists who break the law in Barrington should prepare to pay a hefty bail amount.

Bail amounts across the state of Illinois increased significantly this month. Â The price for a common traffic ticket is now $120, up from $75. Â Drivers who are pulled over for more significant offenses will have to pay more. Â Motorists speeding between 20 and 30 miles per hour above the limit will pay a $140 bail, also up from $75. Â The bond for drivers caught without a valid license has been bumped up from $1,000 to $1,500.Â
If you do get a ticket, most people can usually post bail with a valid driver's license or approved bail bond card. Â
