Behind the Scenes of 'La Pomme de Pin at Home'
A peak at what goes on behind the camera during our video shoots for 'La Pomme de Pin at Home.'
Many of you enjoy watching Chef Erin Bailey's wonderful each Thursday here on Barrington Patch. Â I thought it would be fun to show everyone what goes on behind the scenes of our video shoots.Â
There's definitely a lot of laughter, jokes and fun, but there's also a lot of technical work that goes into creating the videos. Â Professional lights, cameras and microphones are set up in the kitchen before anything can be done. Â We have to make sure things look perfect before the cameras roll. Â All of the equipment transforms the space from an ordinary Barrington kitchen to a makeshift television studio!Â
Erin spends a great deal of time thinking of interesting recipes and ingredients to share with all of you. Â Each time Erin and I do a video shoot, I learn something new about locally grown foods and how to use them. I hope all of you enjoy learning from her as much as I do. Â

After the video shoot is over, there is still plenty of work to be done on the segment. Â I bring the video home, load it into my computer and edit the segment together using Final Cut Express. Â Creating one three minute video from top to bottom can take five or six hours of work!Â
I hope this article gave everyone some insight on what goes on behind the scenes of 'La Pomme de Pin at Home.' Check back to Barrington Patch tomorrow to learn how to prepare leeks and create a wonderful beef stock!Â
