Early Learning Center Set to Open Soon
The district 220 preschool facility will finally be open to students on Oct. 19.

After several delays, the brand new Early Learning Center will welcome students on Oct. 19. Â Barrington 220 School District will open the doors of the new building to the public from 5 to 6:30 that evening. Â
The Early Learning Center is the district's only preschool facility. Â It serves at-risk and special needs children ages three to five. Â Classes are currently being held at the old Woodland facility in Carpentersville. Â
The new building is attached to Prairie Middle School, and was originally scheduled to open last month. Â Due to construction delays and other issues out of the district's control, the Sept. 28 grand opening had to be delayed. Â
