Scout Cabin Has 7 Decades of History

Roy Wilmering Scout Cabin serves as a meeting place for Barrington area organizations.

For more than 7 decades, the Roy Wilmering Scout Cabin has served Barrington organizations, mainly boy and girl scout troops.  The cabin is located on Russell Street on a portion of Miller Park, and was named after Roy E. Willmering.  Willmering was a commissioner of the Northwest Suburban Council of Boy Scouts. The cabin was built in 1934 and has been operated by volunteers ever since.
