Sen. McConchie, Rep. Bos to Host Kids’ Health & Safety Fair

Sen. McConchie and Rep. Bos invite residents to their first annual Kids' Health and Safety Fair in partnership with the Foglia YMCA.

LAKE ZURICH – Illinois Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods, 26th Senate District) and State Representative Chris Bos (R-Lake Zurich, 51st House District) invite residents to join them for their first annual Kids' Health and Safety Fair in partnership with the Foglia YMCA. The free fair to be held at Foglia YMCA in Lake Zurich will feature live demos and a touch-a-truck exhibit, among several other family-friendly activities, as well as opening with an Honor Guard memorial ceremony performed by the Lake Zurich Fire Department in memory of the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The fair will include forty exhibitors with activities and information ranging from antique fire engine rides, water and boat safety, and a fire pole experience, to college savings information for parents, as well as free walk-up COVID-19 vaccines available through the Lake County Health Department. More than twenty vehicles will feature in the touch-a-truck exhibit, highlighted by a visit from the LIFESTAR Medical Helicopter, which will land on-site at 10 a.m. In addition to free admission, free refreshments and giveaways are also included.

  • 9:30 a.m. – 9/11 Honor Guard Ceremony
  • 10:00 a.m. – Traveling World of Reptiles Show
  • 11:15 a.m. – Foglia YMCA Water Safety
  • 11:30 a.m. – W Kim Tae Kwon Do
  • Noon – Lake County K-9
  • 12:30 p.m. – Drawing for Giveaways
