Police Officers Hurt in Wednesday Night Crash on South Side
Five people hospitalized in crash at 87th and Loomis.

Five people — including two Chicago Police officers — were hospitalized after a crash on the South Side at the intersection of 87th Street and Loomis Wednesday night at about 8:15 p.m. The police officers needed to be extricated from their squad car by firefighters. One firefighter was taken to the hospital. Witnesses said a white Acura “t-boned” the squad car in the intersection. The conditions of the victims range from serious to critical.
