How Many Homeowners in Bolingbrook Have Paid Off Their House?

Crain's Chicago Business recently conducted an analysis of who is living without that monthly payment to the bank.

Communities with a large segment of senior citizens or high median incomes tend to have the highest percentage mortgage-free homes, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

According to the Crain's analysis, of Bolingbrook's 18,789 owner-occupied units, 10.1 percent are mortgage-free.

These numbers are lower than the Chicagoland average of 26 percent of homeowners being mortgage-free.
