BOLINGBROOK, IL – The village is bringing back its Winter Walk this year amid the pandemic. Located behind the Town Center, the walk kicked off with a virtual ceremony Saturday and will now be open to the public through Jan. 10 between dusk and 10 p.m. every day.

"It's important this year to bring joy and a sense of normalcy in these unprecedented times," Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said.

Visitors are encouraged to socially distance themselves from one another. For the virtual ceremony, Basta was joined by the Village Trustees as well as the 2020 Citizens of the Year in a mini parade illuminating the walk.
