BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook police took a Harvey man into custody over the weekend after he allegedly forced his way into a Bolingbrook woman's home and attacked her. The arrested man, 32-year-old Jerry Williams Jr., is now charged with home invasion, criminal damage to property and aggravated battery.

According to Bolingbrook PD Public Information Officer Anthony Columbus, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Jamestown Lane shortly before midnight on Friday, Jan. 31 on reports of a disturbance and battery in progress. Upon arrival, they claim to have heard a woman calling for help.

"Officers located the victim and the offender both on scene. The offender, Jerry Williams, 32 years of age, entered the residence and kicked in a locked bedroom door in the home," Columbus said via email. "Williams then attacked the victim, a 40-year-old female, who is an acquaintance of Williams."
