Man Flees Police at High Speed, Crashes into Flower Bed: Bolingbrook Police

Jacob R. Katchen, 21, was arrested following the incident, which took place early Sunday morning.

A 21-year-old Naperville man was arrested Sunday after he fled from police, led a high-speed chase and then crashed into a Bolingbrook flower bed, according to the Bolingbrook Reporter

Jacob R. Katchen, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, aggravated fleeing and eluding, no insurance, possession of drug equipment and numerous traffic violations in the 1200 block of W. Boughton Road at 4:54 a.m. 

Katchen was driving a 1993 grey Mercedes with a 20-year-old passenger when he was flagged for an equipment violation. He then fled from a police car at a high rate of speed, disregarding both the lights and the siren, blew a red light, crashed into a curb and came to rest in a flower bed, damaging a light pole. 

No injuries were reported, according to the Bolingbrook Reporter
